About Us

Robinson's Equine is a family-owned Quarter Horse facility located in Lafayette, Indiana. For over 24 years, our family has raised and cared for horses on this farm. Many of our horses are retired cutting or 4-H horses, beloved family companions, or were born and raised right here on the property.

Our farm has long been a place where people can connect with horses, spend time outdoors, and experience the unique bond that develops between horse and rider.

Robinson’s Equine has always been a family effort. What started as a few horses on a family farm has grown into a program built on the simple idea of a couple of people with a couple of horses trying to change a couple of lives.

Today, multiple generations of the Robinson family help care for the horses, support riders, and keep the barn running — often with Shelby and Caleb’s young daughters happily tagging along and growing up alongside the horses.

Meet Our Team

Donna and Jim Robinson have spent decades raising and caring for Quarter Horses, building a foundation of trust and experience that guides every aspect of our program. Their love for horses and their heart for children continue to shape the welcoming environment at the farm.

Their granddaughter, Shelby Borgestad, who holds a degree in Animal Science, and her husband Caleb, who holds a degree in Elementary Education, assist in caring for the property and helping lead the riding program. Together, they share a passion for empowering individuals of all abilities and creating meaningful connections between riders and horses.
